Montville Queensland is a cute, picturesque rural town nestled in the Glass House Mountains of the Sunshine Coast area. Located just an hour and a half drive from Brisbane, it makes for an easy day trip from the city. It boasts a thriving arts community, and is considered to be the creative heart of the Sunshine Coast. The views from this community are absolutely stunning. Plan to spend at least 1/2 a day here if you decide to visit!

1. Kondalilla Falls (Kondalilla National Park, 4560 Montville, QLD, +61 7 5449 4111). A 1.8km return hike to a beautiful waterfall with multiple viewing platforms.
To access the day-use area and Kondalilla Falls walking tracks use “Kondalilla Falls Road, Montville” as the destination address.
To access sections of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk where it passes through the park use "Narrows Road, Montville" or "Flaxton Mill Road, Montville" as the destination addresses.
2. Baroon Pocket Dam (Narrows Rd, North Maleny, QLD 4552). A scenic dam with a walking track, picnic area, and playground
3. Montville Art Gallery (138 Main St, Montville, QLD 4560, +61 7 5442 9211). A gallery showcasing the work of local and regional artists. Open 7 days a week. 10AM-5PM
4. Flame Hill Vineyard (249 Western Ave, Montville, QLD 4560, +61 7 5478 5920). A winery with award-winning wines, a restaurant, and a cellar door. At the highest point in Montville.
5. The Long Apron (68 Balmoral RD, Montville, QLD 4560, +61 7 5452 1111). A restaurant serving modern Australian cuisine with stunning views of the valley.
6. The Chapel (161-167 Main St, Montville, QLD 4560). A former church converted into a gallery and event space.
7. Fudge at Fudgyboombahs (12/168 Main St, Montville, QLD 4560). A fudge shop selling a variety of handmade fudges, chocolates, and other sweets.
8. The Edge Cafe (127 Main St, Montville, QLD 4560). A cafe with a beautiful outdoor seating area, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The deck is built right on the edge of the escarpment, offering a gorgeous, unobstructed view. We cannot recommend this cafe enough. It gets VERY busy in summer, so be prepared to wait for a table.
9. Montville Markets (Montville Growers & Makers Market, Memorial Cl, Montville, QLD 4560). A weekly market selling arts, crafts, food, and other produce. On the second Saturday of the month. 7:30 AM- 12 noon.
10. Kondalilla National Park (Narrows Rd, Montville, QLD 4560). A national park with a variety of hiking trails, waterfalls, and rainforests.
