Let's start with the beach. Coolum Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline known for its clean waters and lovely sand. While it can be a great spot for families, it's important to note that the surf here can sometimes be rough and potentially dangerous, especially for young children who are not strong swimmers. Coolum Beach is popular with surfers, thanks to its excellent surf breaks, and the town definitely has a laid-back surfer vibe.

While Coolum Beach is patrolled by lifesavers, it is important to remember that this is more of a surf beach than a gentle swimming spot for families with small children.

The waves and currents can be strong at times, so it's crucial to exercise caution and always supervise children closely near the water. Remember to always swim between the flags! No flags= NO swim
